Glen Echo, Maryland (30 min. from Alexandria) is one of those random, D.C. area spots that took us years to visit. Now that we've been there, we go back often to enjoy its beauty & fun. It began in 1891 as a National Chautauqua Assembly and operated as an amusement park until 1968. In particular, we go to Glen Echo Park - and watch puppet shows (think we've been to three?) and ride the carousel. On our most recent trip (on a Saturday, so Greg got to come with) we also stopped by the Clara Barton National Historic Site (which shares a parking lot with GEP).
Hey everybody!
Taking a break in the heat (countdown to the fall!)
Mom is getting a little dizzy...
I'd rather be taking pictures of these guys.
Love this picture - where the middle guy?
Had fun, we're hot, let's go home!
